We’ve got you. Every Locke has secure luggage storage located next to reception, so you’re free to explore the town without carrying your bags.

We’re happy to look after your luggage free of charge on the day you check in or check out. Just speak to one of our House Hosts when you arrive.

Need to store it overnight? Ask at your Locke reception. If there’s space, we’ll always do our best to help.
 

Please note: Locke am Platz offers overnight reception service on Thursday, Friday and Saturday only. On other days, please make sure to collect or drop off your bags during reception hours.

Here's all you need to know about checking in and checking out of our hotels.

What time is check in?

Standard check-in: Our standard check in time is 4pm at all Locke aparthotels. If you're planning to arrive later than 11pm, please let our property teams know in advance, as a House Host may need to unlock the main doors for you.

Can I arrive earlier than the standard check-in time?

Start your stay earlier with a 2pm check-in, available for an additional fee and subject to availability. To secure this, you can add early check-in during the booking stage, or you can add early check-in to your booking for an additional fee (subject to availability) by contacting our reservations team.

I want to check in early on the day of arrival of my booking. How can I do this?

We usually recommend giving at least 48 hours’ notice to arrange early check-in, so our property team has enough time to prepare your apartment.

Early check-in on the day of arrival is subject to availability. Please contact your Locke property team to see if it can be arranged.

How do I check in and collect my keys?

You'll need to collect your apartment keys from the front desk when you arrive. Our House Hosts will be on hand to welcome you, provide your access key cards (one per person) and any further information you require. If you've checked in online before you arrive, your check-in process will be much quicker.

Additionally, some Locke hotels* offers self-check in at kiosks located in reception, where you can sort your own key. You can collect your keys any time after your check-in time (4pm as standard).

*Please note that Eden Locke and Whitworth Locke don't have self-check-in kiosks.

What do I need to bring with me to check in when I arrive?

When you arrive, please make sure you bring the following:

• Your confirmation email
• Official Photo ID*
• Payment card or method used for booking

It is also possible to check in online before you arrive, but please still bring the above with you, as they may be required in case of any issues with your booking.

*Please note, only government-issued photo ID is accepted, such as a passport or driving licence. Other forms of ID such as student ID, employer IDs and payment cards are not accepted.

Why do I need to bring ID with me for check in?

It's a legal requirement for us to prove and verify your legal identity when you are staying at one of our aparthotels. This helps to reduce cases of identity fraud and ensures we're checking in the right person. By booking and staying with us, you must also meet minimum requirements, including being over 18 years of age (unless accompanied by a parent or guardian).

Please note that if we are unable to verify your identity, we may have to cancel your booking.

I'll be arriving early or departing late - can reception store my luggage?

We've all been there - you've arrived to the city early, or your travel home is later in the evening, meaning you'll need to carry your bags around all day.

Our on-site teams are happy to store your luggage free of charge during the day if you're arriving earlier than check in time, or want to explore the city after you check out (no later than day of arrival/departure). 

What time is check out?

Standard check-out: Our check-out time for all Locke properties is 11am, and you can leave any time before this.

Can I stay later than the standard check-out time?

If you'd like to snooze a little longer, late check-out until 1pm is available for an additional fee, subject to availability. We recommend checking with the property during your stay, or you can book by contacting our reservations team.

Properties with on-site parking:

• Turing Locke, Eddington (£20 p/n)
Parking is located behind the hotel in Ryle Yard, with both above-ground and underground options. To access, follow signs to the barrier and buzz the intercom; you will be asked for your surname. EV charging available (20 spaces via Monta app). Parking is for guests only. Extensions may be available for a fee, please contact the property.

• Schwan Locke, Theresienwiese (€29 p/n)
Underground parking is available beneath the hotel. No EV charging. Guests must vacate their space by 11:00 am, but extensions until 2:00 pm may be arranged, please contact the property. Non-guests may use the parking overnight, subject to availability and a nightly fee (first-come, first-served basis).

• WunderLocke, Sendling (€15 p/n)
Parking is located a few hundred metres from the hotel in a separate building. Stop at the hotel entrance to collect directions and an access key from reception. No EV charging on site, but public charging is available nearby at Hofmannstr. 45. Parking is valid until the end of the departure day. Please return the key at check-out.

• Ember Locke, Kensington (£40 p/n)
Parking is a 5-minute walk from the hotel at Sherbourne Court, SW5 0SU (What3Words: ///coats.resort.soak). You may stop in the hotel loading bay for up to 20 minutes to unload and collect the access fob from reception. No EV charging. Half-day rates may be available for late departures, please contact the property. Non-guests may book directly, subject to availability.

• Locke am Platz, Enge (CHF 40 p/n)
Secure underground parking is directly beneath the hotel (entry between Gotthardstrasse 61 & 65, 8002 Zürich). Spaces are available by pre-booking only, with access via a badge collected at reception. 20 spaces are marked in yellow with the Locke logo. Elevator access is available from the parking area to the lobby. Parking is available until 4:00 pm on the day of departure. No EV charging. For hotel guests only.

• Locke de Santa Joana, Lisbon (€35 p/n standard, €50 p/n EV)
On-site parking is available. EV spaces must be pre-booked. Non-guests may park if dining at the restaurant (€10 covers 4 hours, €2 per additional hour).

Booking Information: Parking is charged per night and must be reserved either during your booking process or by contacting the property directly. Locke does not offer combined hotel and parking package deals.

• Buckle Street Studios by Locke, Aldgate – Minories Car Park, E1 8LP (10-minute walk)

• Locke at Broken Wharf, Millennium Bridge – NCP London Vintry Thames Exchange (10-minute walk)

• Bermonds Locke, Tower Bridge – Q-Park Tower Bridge (10-minute walk)

• Zanzibar Locke, Ha'penny Bridge – APCOA Jervis Street Car Park (5-minute walk). On-street parking also available between 7pm–7am.

• Beckett Locke, North Docks – Eurocarparks (Point Village). Day and overnight parking. Ticket validation available at reception.

• Whitworth Locke, Civic Quarter – Euro Car Parks at Pritchard St (M1 7DA) (a few minutes' walk)

• Eden Locke, George Street – NCP Castle Terrace (10-minute walk)

• Le Jardin de Verre by Locke, Latin Quarter – Parking Résidentiel Saemes Monge, 17 Rue Gracieuse, 75005 Paris (2-minute drive)

• Locke at East Side Gallery, Friedrichshain – No standard on-site parking. 1 accessible space (€22 p/n) may be available on request. Free street parking nearby. Secure parking available at DB BahnPark Tiefgarage Ostbahnhof (7-minute walk)
