The role.

Groups and MICE Sales Manager: Munich, Germany.

Is selling in your DNA? Have you got a knack for unearthing leads and turning them into loyal customers? Do you thrive on building and nurturing relationships?

You'd be at the sales-helm of our two Lockes in Munich, Germany, where it's most exciting. Reporting to the Head of Groups and MICE Sales, you'll take ownership of sales activity for Schwan Locke and Wunderlocke for MICE agents and group clients, using your local knowledge and networking prowess to develop profitable, sustainable business. 

What it looks like;

The primary function of this role is to take responsibility of the strategy, planning and ongoing execution of sales activity for a portfolio of new and existing Groups and MICE clients on behalf of Locke, to deliver optimal revenue into key edyn properties. In addition, you'll contribute to the development of all Groups and MICE sales enquiry processes and segment specific online and offline marketing collateral, supported by the Head of Groups and MICE sales.

The successful candidate will be able to easily establish, influence and build and maintain relationships with key decision makers in Corporate and Agency organisations to negotiate and develop profitable business. 

  • Actively seeking and winning new business in the realm of Groups and MICE
  • Generating, qualifying and following up on leads from MICE Agencies and Corporates through all relevant sources
  • Account management; be responsible for sales and service across a designated portfolio of existing accounts
  • Conduct FAM trips, sales presentations, networking events and B2B marketing
  • Secure base group business at property level
  • Ensure an understanding of the local Sales Plan for each key property, and understand required sales mix per property, including the contribution of Groups volume
  • Complete all internal processes to ensure each account is correctly setup within edyn
  • Ensure excellent knowledge of company network and key locations and know how to easily access information regarding any location
  • Conduct appointments to showcase the properties where required
  • Attend networking trips and build a strong personal network

What you'll need.

  • No-nonsense Commercial Awareness
  • Innate customer service skills and next-level communication
  • Brain built for problem solving, with impeccable planning and organisation
  • Familiarity with local Munich Groups and MICE agents
  • Hospitality sales and account management experience in Germany
  • Demonstrable understanding of Locke's brand and business
  • Local knowledge and contacts in Munich
  • German speaking and writing skills are a must, as well as English conversational and writing skills
  • A tenacious and courageous mindset, with a determination to deliver on targets

When and Where?

We believe in working flexibly – this includes flexibility in work location, working days (including weekends and bank holidays in operations) and working hours. This may be ad hoc or permanent flexibility.  Ask your recruiting manager or see our careers page for more information.

  • This is a full-time role and your core hours will be 9am-6pm.
  • This role is based in Munich
  • Travel to other Locke properties and edyn office locations will sometimes be required.
