Leman Locke offers more than just a place to sleep. It is our aim to foster an environment that allows you to live better, by learning from the local community. We host regular events, wellness programmes, and collaborate with local London creatives to help you do just that.

Creative in Residence at Locke Hotels is a platform that supports emerging artists, across any discipline. The programme offers artists creative freedom to experiment and develop new work.
They are encouraged to develop their practice and to draw on the resources of the hotel for inspiration. Leman Locke offers a place for you to meet the creatives, see how they work and gain a unique insight into the process of design, from concept to delivery.
This photography series addresses the rigid portrayal of masculinity in western culture. In India, men holding hands is commonplace and free of any sexual connotation. Instead, the gesture is indicative of friendship and connection. Fashion and celebrity photographer Vincent Dolman has captured this physical interaction between men of all ages in cities across India. The image series has previously attracted media attention from the likes of i-D and VICE.
The thought-provoking photography exhibition will be hosted at Leman Locke from early 2019.
Made to be Loved is a photographic series by local artist Cecilia Dipaulo, intent on creating a dystopian future. Creating a fictive fantasy, Cecilia Di Paolo performs aspects of fulfillment, loneliness and love.
The exhibition was held at Leman Locke from May - August.
Wellbeing is at the heart of the Locke Experience. Wellness can foster greater happiness, clarity of mind, creativity & productivity. Yet, we all know how difficult it is to maintain our sense of wellbeing while travelling. It can be inconvenient and difficult and consequently, we can find ourselves feeling misplaced and off-centered. As one of newest lifestyle hotels in London, Locke aims to make health & wellness as seamless as possible.
Let's face it: most hotel gyms suck. A couple of treadmills and a row machine isn’t a gym - it's called a shoebox with a few machines. Locke Gym is small but comprehensive. Our gym has been designed by fitness aficionados that know their Sumo Deadlift from their Triple Band Hip Thrust. Whether you looking to burn off calories from Treves & Hyde the night before, improving your health, gaining muscle mass, training for the next Tough Mudder or dedicated to Cross Fit, our Gym has been designed to meet your needs. Here are a few items included in our Gym:
In our commitment to make wellness seamless for our guests, Locke has organised a wellness programme, curated by Locke and complimentary to our guests. These events are typically held weekly and include the following:
We believe that what you put on your skin and hair is as important as what you put in your mouth. Locke has partnered with London-based body care company Kinsey to create a cosmetics line bespoke for Locke.
Time to get back to basics: there’s one workout you can do anywhere and everywhere, and that’s a good run. Join us for a scenic 5K run through the city accompanied by tips and tricks to hit your best stride.
Every Wednesday, meet us at the cafe on the ground floor at 6pm.
Take a run around the River Thames in a 5k circle before heading back to Leman Locke. Welcome to all abilities, running coach Heather will bring out in the best in you, so get your running shoes on and get outside.
If that wasn’t enough, you’ll be rewarded with a refreshing drink at Treves & Hyde when you get back. Win win.
At Locke we feel it’s important to get involved with exciting thoughts and fresh starts. This helps us restore and regulate our bodies balance while strengthening resistance to stress and anxiety.

East London at Dawn showcases images of our city, for the most part, empty and devoid of its usual flood of people. Of those who are awake, most are working, preparing the city for the day before the streets are inundated by the crowds.
For over a decade photographer Anthony Epes has shot many of the world's iconic cities at their most peaceful time, dawn. Leman Locke has collaborated with Anthony to combine a collection of his images of our local neighbourhood, East London.
Anthony connects us to the atmosphere of sunrise in the city and takes us on a unique exploration of the places in East London that fascinate him. From the stark brutalist architecture of the Balfour Tower, to the run- down Leaside area of Hackney Wick, to the vibrant edgy street art that appears and disappears at random, to the imprint of new communities, foods and cultures that make up this ever-changing part of London.
East London at Dawn is included in all of the Leman Locke studios and suites.
The photobook can also be purchased exclusively at the Locke Shop for £35.
