Spring in the city: Lisbon.

Spring in the city: Lisbon.

If you didn't already know, Locke is on its way to Lisbon. To get to know our new home, Lisbon local and photographer Luísa Bravo showed us her favourite springtime spots.

As spring paints Lisbon with sunshine, it's the perfect time to uncover new spots. Take a leisurely stroll, stopping at cozy cafes and lookout points for panoramic views. Wander among eclectic shops and bustling bars. Or go for your first dip in the chilly but invigorating Atlantic Ocean.

We asked photographer and Lisbon local Luísa Bravo to show us her favourite places around the city for taking in some springtime sun and exploring some lesser-known spots.

Feira da Ladra

With views across the Tejo and the Baroque National Pantheon, Feira da Ladra is a weekly flea market (Tuesdays, Saturdays) “where you can find vintage clothes, decor, records, books and cool furniture”. Its best to get down their early then enjoy a coffee in the neighbouring Jardim Botto Machado.

Praia de São João do Estoril

If you fancy a quick dip without heading across the bridge to Caparica, Praia de São João do Estoril is “a small beach only around 25 minutes away by train from Lisbon”. The water might still be chilly from an Atlantic winter but no doubt invigorating

Miradouro Monte Agudo:

Quieter than nearby Miradouro Senhora da Monte, Monte Agudo has views across the city and plenty of space to catch up with your friends. One of the hottest viewpoints of the city, where you should grab a drink watch the sunset and can listen to some DJ set”.
