Whether you're all about conquering the peaks or fancy enjoying the laid-back mountain scenes, we’ve rounded up a couple of ski spots worth knowing about in and around Zurich & Munich.

Picture this: carving up the slopes, cosying up with a warm drink and dining on hearty meals with friends. Just a few hours from our Locke properties in Zurich and Munich, you’ll find spots where it's all about days filled with friends, mountains, skiing.

We sent photographer Nicolas Quiniou to the slopes to capture some shots of the downhill rush, post-run chats, and après-ski in full swing in some of Switzerland’s and Bavaria’s alpine playgrounds.

Flumserberg.

Fumserberg is located right above Lake Walensee in the Canton of St. Gallen, between Zurich and Chur making it a popular day trip destination for hitting the slopes.

With its variety of varying slopes, equipment and family-friendly vibe it's the perfect place to make a stop at if you're in Zurich and fancy a day on the mountains or even to start your ski-journey.

Found in the Kinterland Roggen in Oberiberg, Hoch Ybrig has plenty of slopes for all abilities alongside hikes and ski tours. Once you've glided down the slopes you can travel back on the “magic carpet".

Atzmännig.

Sitting at the gateway to Zurich, Atzmännig has the perfect slopes if you're just starting out or fancy a quick trip whilst staying in the city. With smaller slopes for beginners and a large toboggan to keep the kids entertained.
