Perfect location and super comfy...

Positive: Location to the palace theatre. Probably about 2-3min walk away. Negative: Perhaps the location of our room. A few steps to meander around.
Response from Management
Hello Matt, thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review, we really appreciate the feedback! We're super delighted to learn you that our central location made your trip to Manchester for a show at the Palace theatre that bit easier. We are sorry however, that you feel the location of your room wasn't quite as ideal. We are a Grade II listed building which graces the buildings and rooms with their individual quirks in regards to layout and location. We do have more directly accessible rooms with step-free access, so if you choose to stay with us in the future, please add these and any other preference notes onto your booking and we will endeavour to allocate you to a suitable room :) We hope to welcome you back again soon! Best Wishes, Amy & The Team

Hello Abi, thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review :) we really appreciate the feedback! We're so pleased our spacious, comfortable rooms & central location made your trip into Manchester for the theatre nice and easy. Thank you for your kind words about Grace too, we're very lucky to have her. We are however, sorry that the room you were allocated to was noisy and lacked in view. Due to the fact we are a Grade II listed building, the rooms are graced with their individual quirks in regards to layout and location within the property which affects view and noise from the bustling city centre, for which we apologise for disturbing your stay. Should you wish to stay with us again, please leave a note on your booking that you'd like a quiet room (along with any other preferences) and we will endeavour to allocate you to a room that suits all your needs :) We hope to welcome you back soon! Best wishes, James & The Team

The Manchester City Visitor Charge is a small fee of £1 + VAT per room or unit per night that is added to the final bill for guests staying in paid accommodation within the Manchester ABID zone. This fee has been introduced as part of an initiative led by the city’s hotel and serviced apartment providers to create exciting new events and activities that will encourage more people to visit Manchester and Salford.

The money raised through the City Visitor Charge will be used to develop and promote tourism in the area, as well as to help create more things for visitors to do and see. By paying this charge, you'll be contributing to the enhancement of the overall guest experience and helping to expand the city's visitor economy.

The City Visitor Charge is similar to established schemes in cities across Europe and North America and will be chargeable from 1st April 2023. So, if you book a stay at Whitworth Locke, Manchester after this date, you will need to pay this small fee per night as part of your final bill.
